Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar, a British American artist and a sitarist is best known for her musical talents. She was the first person within her age bracket to receive an award from the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Sitar Shankar is one of the Indian young sitar singer. She is Ravi Shankar's student and is also his daughter. Born in London in 1982 and began her life by hopping back and forth to London as well as New Delhi. Her debut concert was on stage in New Delhi at the tender age of 13. In Encinitas CA in 1999 she received an honorary high school diploma.
